Hello! My name is Emily, and I’m a seventeen-year-old rebelutionary from Colorado. My dad is an electrician and my mom is an incredible homeschooling stay-at-home mom. I have three younger siblings: Erica – 16, Erin -12, and Seth -5. My favorite things to do are read, write, and talk. =D
I have read extensively since I was five and I own hundreds of books – my favorites being The Count of Monte Cristo and Jane Eyre.. I collect the classics as well as many other books. People are often surprised at this, but I don’t read romance novels (excepting the classics). Part of this is because I think it’s a waste of time, but the one series I would like to read has been banned by my Mom. 😀 Another thing that surprises people? I have read as much – maybe more – nonfiction than fiction. I love history and I love reading about it, memorizing it to keep facts straight (and answer Jeopardy questions), then writing historical fiction.
I am very conservative when it comes to music and hate “Christian” rock and the CCM movement. I find it sad to see the way people are caught up in it all. Music resources that I love can be found here, here, here, here, and here.
My family attends Woodside Baptist Church, and it’s the best church I’ve ever been to! We’ve been going for a year now, and I hope that when it comes time for us to move again, we can be within the area still so that we can continue on at Woodside.
